Pro Tip

Proceed

- Marked as Closed in Prevent (safe and cleared).

- No Shopify status change (e.g., stays "open").

- Fulfillment continues smoothly based on your fulfillment flow in Shopify.

- Prevent dashboard shows "Closed" for tracking.

- Only updates Prevent’s state, doesn’t fix Shopify-specific issues (e.g., payment/inventory).

- Consider syncing Prevent’s "Closed" status with Shopify tags for clarity.

Best for lowest-risk orders to speed up fulfilment and reduce manual review.

On Hold

- Shopify status (e.g., "open") on-hold.

- Pauses existing/new fulfillments (unfulfilled & partially fulfilled).

- Time to review flagged orders in Prevent.

- Simply release by removing the hold via Shopify , which resumes fulfillment.

- Works only on fully unfulfilled/partially fulfilled orders.

- Double-check Shopify for urgent/time-sensitive orders.

Use tags in workflows/reports and confirm 3PL processes for held orders.

Verify

(Coming soon and subject to changes)

- Sends white-labeled email to buyer for confirmation.

- Outcomes:

• Verified → Safe, hold released.

• Declined → On hold, flagged.

• No Response → Reminders at 24h/48h, defaults to hold (or your settings).

- Buyer-driven verification process.

- Helps catch fraud on moderate-risk orders.

- If missing buyer contact, skips and flags.

- Retries failed deliveries (3x with backoff).

- Logs errors/timeouts.

Customize timers, default actions, verify URL to fit workflow.

Cancel

- Checks eligibility (must be fully unfulfilled, not already canceled/refunded).

- Updates Shopify order to "canceled", issues full refund, notifies customer.

- Order canceled in Shopify.

- Refund processed quickly (customer refunded in a few business days).

- Strong protection against chargebacks.

- Skips if the order is partially fulfilled or already canceled.

- Refund timelines vary for international/gateway payments.

Use sparingly for ultra-high-risk orders. Layer in manual review if needed.
