When and How Does Chargeflow Charge Me?

Understand how charges are triggered, calculated, and billed for each Chargeflow product.

Written by Avia Chen

Overview

Chargeflow's billing is outcome-based, not subscription-based. This means you're only charged after billiable event has accured, a dispute won, a chargeback deflected, or a transaction screened. Because of this, invoices are generated after the fact, and advance billing previews are not available.

This article explains how billing works for each Chargeflow product and what you can expect in terms of charge frequency.

Billing by Product

⚙️ Chargeback Management. “Automation

  • Charge frequency: Daily

  • Billable event: Per won dispute

  • How it works: A fee is applied on the exact date a dispute is won as defined by the client processor, not before. You pay only per success.

🔔 Chargeback Prevention. “Alerts”

  • Charge frequency: Daily

  • Billable event: Per initiated refund

  • How it works: Alerts fees are processed daily and billed directly to the payment method on file. You are charged per initiated refund, and/or if an alert falls above your set threshold amount.

🛡️ Friendly-Fraud Prevention services. “Prevent”

  • Charge frequency: Daily

  • Billable event: Per transaction screened

  • How it works: A charge is triggered instantly each time the Prevent system evaluates a transaction.
