Why Was I Charged $100 When I Enrolled in the Alerts Service?

Written by Avia Chen

The $100 charge you see is an authorization hold β€” not an actual payment.

This one-time hold is placed when you first add a descriptor to the Alerts service. It temporarily secures your payment method for one week to ensure uninterrupted access to the service. You will only be billed after we process your alerts, and the charge will reflect only the specific alerts handled on your behalf.

Once the hold period ends, it is automatically released and returned to your account within 7–10 business days. No action is needed on your end.

πŸ’‘ Good to know: This authorization hold only applies the first time you add a descriptor. Any additional descriptors added to your account will not incur another authorization hold.

Haven't Received Your $100 Refund Yet?

If more than 7–10 business days have passed and the hold has not been released, here's what to do:

  1. Check with your bank or card provider to confirm whether the hold has been lifted on their end.

  2. Still not resolved? Reach out to the Support team via our 24/7 Live Chat or email at support@chargeflow.io and we'll be happy to assist.
