Introduction
Chargeflow now integrates with Recurly — an enterprise-class subscription management and billing platform used by SaaS, media, and e-commerce businesses.
Once connected, Chargeflow automatically looks up the corresponding Recurly transaction, subscription, invoice, customer, and order data the moment a dispute is created — injecting it directly into the dispute record and your Dispute page. All of this is set up in minutes using just your Recurly API key.
Getting Started
In this section, we will guide you on how to connect your Recurly account with the Chargeflow application.
Already a Chargeflow family member? Great! 🙌
Here's how to connect your Recurly account:
Log in to your Chargeflow account.
Navigate to the Integrations page.
Under the "Subscriptions" section, find the Recurly widget and click "Connect".
In the connection drawer, enter your Recurly API key.
Click "Connect" to establish the integration.
That's it! Chargeflow will now automatically enrich your disputes with Recurly subscription data as soon as any dispute arises.
How to get your Recurly API Key
Log in to your Recurly account
Go to Integrations → API Credentials
Click "Add Private API Key"
Name the API key as "Chargeflow"
Set the Application Using This Key to “Other” → Application Name “Chargeflow”
Click on "Save Changes"
You will see the newly generated key → Click on the eye to view the key and copy it.
⚠️ A Full Access API key is required. Read-only keys will not work and will result in a connection error.

Troubleshooting: Recurly Integration Disconnected
Troubleshooting: Recurly Integration Disconnected
Learn what to do if your Recurly integration shows as disconnected or reverts to a "Connect" state.
What does this mean?
If your Recurly widget on the Integrations page reverts to showing a "Connect" button instead of your connected account, it means Chargeflow is no longer able to authenticate with your Recurly account.
Why does this happen?
The most common cause is that your Recurly API key was revoked or its permissions were changed. This can happen if:
The API key was manually deleted or rotated in Recurly.
Your Recurly account permissions were updated.
A team member made changes to API credentials in your Recurly admin.
How to fix it
Log in to your Recurly Admin account.
Navigate to Integrations > API Credentials.
Generate a new Full Access API key.
Go back to the Chargeflow Integrations page.
Click "Connect" on the Recurly widget.
Enter your Recurly subdomain and the new API key, then click "Connect".
✅ All your previous settings — including Auto-Cancel preferences — are preserved automatically when you reconnect.
What Recurly Data Appears on My Dispute Page?
What Recurly Data Appears on My Dispute Page?
When a dispute is filed and your Recurly account is connected, Chargeflow automatically looks up the relevant Recurly data and displays it directly on your Dispute page — no manual input needed.
Data Type | What It Includes | Why It Matters |
Subscription | Plan name, status, start/end dates, billing frequency, trial info, cancellation reason | Core evidence for subscription cancellation disputes |
Invoice | Amounts, status, payment dates, line item details, discounts, tax | Financial proof of what the customer was charged |
Customer / Account | Name, email, billing address, IP address | Identity verification in dispute evidence |
Payment Method | Card brand, last 4, BIN, expiration | Matches PSP data; fills gaps when PSP data is incomplete |
Order (reconstructed) | Products, SKUs, shipping address, discounts | Product-level evidence for representment |
This data appears in the Subscription, Order, Product, and Customer sections of your Dispute page, marked with the Recurly logo so you can easily identify its source.
⚠️ Important: Recurly data fills gaps — it never overwrites.
Chargeflow follows a non-destructive enrichment approach. Recurly data is used to fill in missing information only. It will never overwrite data already pulled from your payment processor (PSP) or CRM. This ensures your dispute evidence is always as complete and accurate as possible.
